about

The Blues Brothers are back folks.

Hot off the heels of their acclaimed 2019 LP “Animal Planet 2”, the Brothers ran into some unfortunate management issues that stalled what was shaping up to be their biggest year yet (2019). After new manager Shane Steingold’s incredible success with press-training the Brothters in the run up to “Animal Planet 2”, as well as bringing a fresh look and some general cohesion to their camp, the Brothers decided that they were on a hot-streak, and to once again invite their old manager Craig back into the fold to steer the ship full-steam-ahead into the future.

After benevolently parting ways with Shane, things didn’t pan out as well as the Brothters had hoped. With full control over the band, Craig decided to force the Brothers back in studio to immediately rush out a new album and capitalise on their ongoing success in the streaming era. With the “Elvis In Space’ concept having been long in the works, the sessions were still undeniably productive, but Craig quickly tried to wrangle ultimate control of the project. The songwriting process was forcibly rushed, and Craig’s behaviour became increasingly erratic and unhinged.

It didn't take long before Sam and Yuri got sick of this, and decided to take matters into their own hands. After purchasing lots of firearms, ingesting copious amounts of stimulants, and staying up strategising for four days on end, they decided the only way forward was to fire Craig once and for all. So that's what they did. They let Craig go (Luckily, without incident) and asked Shane to return, once again in need of his unparalleled direction and fearlessness. With roughly 73% of the album already already written, Shane was able to both coach, in a sports sense, and inspire, in a spiritual sense, the confidence (That the Brothers always knew they had within themselves) to fully realise and complete what is arguably their most ambitious album to date.

“Elvis In Space” sees the Brothers getting more psychedelic than ever before, embracing elements of Free Jazz, Dub, and many more ‘Out-There’ esoteric concepts than we have heard in their music before. “Elvis In Space” presents the true story of Elvis Presley, one of the CIA’s earliest creations. A byproduct of the agency’s notorious MKULTRA program, which coincided with the beginning of Presley’s career, Elvis emerged as one of the CIA’s first mass-cultural psychic operations. Elvis was a mysterious individual who was responsible for the ultimate unification of both black and religious musics, sex, hedonism, and the American Dream. Nobody can deny that black spiritual music was successfully appropriated, commodified and pre-packaged for mass western consumption starting right here with The King. With the early successes of this project (Code named PROJECT GLADIATOR), the agency took things a step further, enlisting Elvis in the US army. After serving in the military to bridge the gap between American Imperialism, God, and Rock ’n’ Roll, Elvis continued blazing a trail more decadent than anyone before him.

While the years zoomed by, and both Elvis and Rock ’n’ Roll itself got more Far Out (see The Doors, Hendrix, The Who, etc), mankind simultaneously made it’s first journeys into the realm of Outer Space, ushering in a scientific age full of pro-space-exploration propaganda helmed by control groups such as NASA, The Hollywood Machine, Space-X, and various other black budget entities that continue operating with varying levels of terrifying secrecy and impunity from headquarters based inside of the United States of America. Of course this ongoing program of subversion, brainwashing, and fringe science can be traced back to the Nazis and their obsession with the Occult, but despite the origins of this agenda, one must ask where it is going...

Everyone knows that there is a breakaway civilisation. There is a myriad of weirdness happening in Antarctica. The VZ-9 Avrocar was not a failure, but rather a secret success. The transhumanist freaks at the top of the pyramid are wielding all kinds of exotic energy technology that they continue weaponising in order to facilitate their selfish and destructive plans for the future. And the person supposedly in control of this tyrannical force, or the current puppet master responsible for hypnotising the masses, is Donald J Trump, a figure who has always been heavily present within the Blues Brothers universe.

In a sense, Donald Trump is the modern day Elvis. The first rock ’n’ roll president. A truly unique figure and seemingly unstoppable force who also has deep state shadow entities moving and shaking and operating in the background to provide both financial and psychic support. Much like Presley, Trump has a voice, rhythm and presence that is indelibly his own - A true magnetism. And not for nothing, he is also a fan of Elvis Aaron Presley.

With “Elvis in Space” the Blues Brothters set out to tell the story of Elvis with a whimsical science-fiction twist, but unwittingly told the story of modern American history itself, with all its degradation and intrigue. One could argue Elvis started a fire in 1953 that has been wild and ungovernable ever since, the smouldering embers of which include subversive American cultural figures such as Charlie Manson, Howard Stern, Joe Rogan, David Letterman, Jim Morrison, Homer Simpson and Jeff Epstein. It’s hard not to look at the monstrous and despicable Jeffrey Epstein scandal, for example, and not draw a straight line back to the opening notes of ‘Jailhouse Rock’ and the animalistic sexual gyration of ‘The King’ on the Ed Sullivan Show, an event that warped the western psyche forever.

The Blues Brothters want you to WAKE THE FUCK UP. Elvis in Space is the album that will do that. It will make you wake up. Moments will make you laugh hysterically and other moments will make you sick to your stomach. Eighteen tracks. You know what it is.

As the king of rock ’n’roll himself would say, thank you very much!
